September 23, 2011. Schaumburg, Ill. While there is no one national official Tea Party organization, there is a loose confederation or alliance of independent Tea Party groups. It’s that assortment of conservative political activists from varying Tea Party organizations from around the Midwest that’s coming to Schaumburg.

Titled, ‘TeaCon 2011’, the regional event is scheduled to take place Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel andConvention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. The event, strangely enough, is sponsored and organized by the news media. AM 560 WIND radio Chicago and ChampionNews.com are co-sponsoring the event.

Attendees will include Tea Party leaders and activists from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri.

All the declared Republican candidates for President have been invited to attend and deliver a 20 minute speech. At the end of the session, a straw poll vote will be held. At the conclusion of the event, the featured speaker will be Glen Beck. The results of the straw poll will also be released. Advertisement

The event will feature an Exhibit Hall and organizers promise, “You will have plenty of opportunities to meet and socialize with other like minded people from across Illinois and the rest of the Midwest. You won't simply be sitting in a seat and listening to people talk for hours at time.”

The two-day event also boasts training seminars designed to teach Tea Party activists how to be more effective. The three breakout sessions include:

* CitizenTrack: For concerned citizens who want to learn more about policy and become more effective advocate for liberty.

* Patriot Track: For tea party members who want to make a difference, this will provide you with the tools to be more effective.

* Leadership Track - Intended for organizers and leaders of the movement. These sessions are designed to provide the skills needed to become a more effective leader and learn how to build the movement.

Schaumberg is not Chicago, it is a separate city that grew up west of O’Hare airport. In 1950, Schaumberg was a hamlet of maybe 600 people, in the middle of cornfields and dairy barns.

Its idenity has always been with being not-Chicago, and its population is made up in large part of those who fled Chicago and its corruption. It grew as a bedroom community, but became its own economic center as much of the merchandising and banking industries moved outward.

The T.E.A. party people probably would not enter Chicago on a bet, as the city is hostile to any possibility of just and consistent governance. There is one party, with one ever-moving agenda, that is essentially a feudal system, overlaid with criminal methods of enforcement.

“Cesspool” would be a polite description, and entirely inadequate for the reality there.

$235 to see Steven Crowder, Andrew Breitbart, Dana Loesch, Guy Benson, and Glenn Beck, who can all be heard free on the radio.

It’s actually $159 for a 2-days conference if you don’t participate in the dinners, which also includes different workshops...
