Yer outta here.

His attitude on illegals means he can’t be trusted on *anything*.

GWB screwed us six ways to Sunday. I’m not voting for a repeat performance of those 8 years.

Anyone notice that the lower Obama sinks in the polls, the harder the GOP establishment works to kiss off the next election?

The TX House and Senate passed that bill with only 4 No votes. Perry could have vetoed the bill, but it was a veto proof bill and the Legislature would have over ridden his veto. Perry has pretty much always signed bills when the Legislature was almost 100% unanimous. He should have provided more explanation tonight. He always owns up to his actions.

I was really leaning toward Perry the last few weeks. Tonight he called me heartless. Like Bush called me a vigilante. Like McCain called me (the lettuce remark) lazy. I don’t know who I am supporting any more but it sure as HELL is not Rick Perry!

The more I learn about this character the more I know my research was right. He does not need to be anywhere near the office of President. I will not vote for him.

I am hereby throwing Perry under the bus. His totally insane position re immigration is a deal-breaker. A potential $100K incentive to illegals that is not even available to legals from out of state? WTF??? And he won't build a wall? He seems to have the same blind spot on this issue as Bush.

Even Romney is starting to look reasonable in comparison.

Perry believes in Taxation Without Representation!

He wants to tax one group to give to another. That is THEFT!

I Don't Think You Have a Heart if you oppose in-state tuition for children of illegal immigrants

This brings to mind an old French saying: "if you're not a socialist at 20, you have no heart. If you're still a socialist at 40, you have no head."

Our nation is drowning in RED INK.

We will NEVER curb the red tide without SERIOUS crackdown on illegal immigration.

I have a heart for law abiding American citizens who have to live under politicians who won’t enforce our border security laws. Who try to guilt us for wanting a country NOT full of illegal aliens. That’s just a liberal tactic right there.

NO offense but he’s just digging a bigger hole.

This is the part of the debate where Perry lost my vote. I had been leaning Perry. A friend at work had already made up his mind and was all in for Perry. He just sent me an email after the debate. Perry lost him too. These damn politicians need to start taking illegal immigration seriously.

It's going to be interesting to listen how old Rushbo is going to try and spin this foot-n-mouth disease remark by Perry on Fridays broadcast. Rush is great at spin control but he will have to do double time duty to spin it this time. Sorry Rush, looks like you hitched your horse to a loser this time around.

I thought that maybe you learned your lesson after helping Jorge Bush get re-elected to his second term. You sounded like you learned but now I'm not so sure. You fell for the 'Anybody But Obama' syndrome and look what has happened to you now. Perry shot himself in both feet and now doesn't have a leg to stand on. Kind of embarrassing isn't it!? Maybe you'll start beating the bushes for Sarah now.

Perry still has me. He said nothing different tonight then he’s been saying. It was voted on at the state level, it passed.

I am having a really hard time getting past this. I like a lot of what Perry says but he is wrong about a fence. We can certainly build a fence. We put men on the Moon for crikes sakes. This instate tuition for illegals is just not resonating. I do not want to fight that amnesty fight again. I think this issue is really hurting Perry. Mitt looked good tonight and I swore in 2008 I would never vote for Mitt. Newt and Herman were not too shabby either.

"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society.

Ok, I have no heart. IMHO, it's damned heartless to force American taxpayers to pay for their K-12 education. It is irrational to educate people who can not legally work here. Unless, of course, your goal is to push for their legalization. Then you'll use the, "We've already paid to educate them. It would be a waste of money not to make them legal so we can use their education."
