Seriously, no one but us political freaks watches these debates. This campaign will be won on the campaign trail, during interviews, and with ads, like all campaigns are. And at all of those Perry shines.

The main value of these debates is practice for the general election debates. Perry has a lot of work to do. Palin needs to be in if she is planning on running - she needs the practice, too. Mitt has lots of practice, but no soul. Santorum is a good guy, as are Newt & Cain, but I don’t see any of them as having any charisma.

The general election OUGHT to be easy, but with this slate of candidates...I’m worried. Very worried.

I think you are right. The new Fall network shows started this week. Something tells me the ratings on those will far outshine the debate numbers. Even I decided to watch CBS's primetime and catch the debate now in rerun.

You are right on that point, but these debates give the OTHER SIDE ammunition against the ultimate victor... that is why they are happy horsesh!t.
