Debate #4 (Sept. 7, 2011 in CA) (Live thread)
Debate #3 (Aug. 11, 2011 in IA) (Live thread)
9 minutes to go! http://www.youtube.com/foxnews
Let’s tweet during the debate and make sure all the Repubs are reported directly to #attackwatch.
Michelle all in red. Hutsman and Cain wearing those horrible yellow ties that wreck havoc with the color schemes.
Romney sidesteps the question about criticism of his 59 point plan and talks about small business
Bachmann blunders, says the guy should keep all of his money.
GOP Orlando Debate 9/22/2011
RomneyBOT Chris Wallace and the Romney-TOADS
brings their bias to the Presidential debate.
Its off.
Boos for Gingrich.
FOX got thousands of questions (which willl be filtered for Romney).
Economy was key so FOX will begin by whacking Perry
and laying out the “carpet” for Romney.
Weak questions chosen asking vague matters
such as “what would you do to increase incentive?”
Perry says he will help the lawyers against individuals.
Discussed what HE says are changes he made in regulations in Texas.
Romney is introduced as having a “specific plan”.
(How BIASED is that?)
Fox says it is “timid” based upon a tax threshold.
In response, Romney gets his answer off
and must have had the question in advance
since he has a numeric list.
Romney claims he CUT taxes in Mass.
FOX will not correct him because
... they are biased for Romney. [Romney calls
tax increases “fees”].
FOX (THE channel of McGinniss and Ailes and Wallace,
allows Romney to go almost a minute over the “bell”.
Then FOX lowers its cannon on Ms. Bachmann
with a tougher question.
There’s a lot to be said for letting each candidate answer the same questions. It’s cumbersome when there are so many, but we can’t compare candidates as well when they change the question almost every time.
Kelly frames the question about extending benefit wrongly.
She puts these guys into the situation as it is today, not based on anything, as president, they would be doing immediately to improve the jobs situation.
Sorry I’m late to the thread. Bachmann looked like a deer in headlights!!! Wowzers I think she is done.
Listening to Huntsman is almost as bad as listening to Obama.
Please no more Huntsman questions.
How do you actually vote in any polls on the Fox News/YouTube/ Google site? I can’t find the polls...
Chris Wallace makes a good point on Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, having both income tax and sales tax, instead of repealing the former and having the latter.
That’s my main concern over Cain’s plan.
Cain’s ‘throw out the current tax code’ —
Sorry, Herman, but that dog won’t hunt either. Congress will NEVER do that. They like the convolution too much.
Holy crap Cain went after Romney. ‘Bout damn time someone did.
Speaker Gingrich asked about benefits.
(How different from the initial setup question for Milt).
Answers conservatively.
Audience seems hostile (huh?)
RomneyBOT Wallace WHACKS each candidate
with difficult questions.
To Mr. Cain, he asks about “dangers” from his 9-9-9 tax plan
[unlike the “benefits” of Obama dismantling the USA].
Mr. Cain, as always, hits it out of the park.
Mr. Cain distinguishes himself from Romney.
RomneyBOT Wallace notes Romney was mentioned,
so gives Milt another 30 seconds.
Romney is unable to respond directly since
it requires THINKING, and in its stead
gives his canned pitch to which
there are a few weak claps (unlike Mr. Cain’s loud cheers).
Romney isn’t doing well.
Looks like everyone but Romney and Perry are getting shut out of the ‘debate’.
Perry slaps Romney in a battle of what their respective books actually said.
Perry says Romney’s hard cover had a different content line than his paperback had.
Romney sidesteps calling Obama a socialist, whereas most of the others have called Obama a socialist.
Romney does the dipsy-doddle.
Good answer from Mitt about Hussein’s socialism.
FOX reviews ROUND 1.
Gives Round 1 to FOX-beloved Romney because
Romney (having tested this sentence in hundreds of groups)
says that he wants everyone in America to be rich.
Perry is asked a question, comparing him to Romney
(how BIASED is that, FOX?) about social security.
He notes that “Mitt has been wrong” and cites
some statistic about Massachsetts.
Romney again is unable to dispute it, but responds with his
memorized sentence about Perry’s book.
The “bell” rings but Romney is Biased FOX’s favorite
and is allowed to continue.
ZINGER ALERT:
Perry responds with a mention of RomneyCARE
(good for Gov. Perry) who notes that Romney removed
a sentence about it from the Random House (like McGinniss)
Romney book. [Triple for Gov. Perry].
Romney, unable for the third time to deal with
a question in real time, again retreats to a memorized
paragraph about his book.
Ms. Bachmann is put down, but not allowed to respond,
by the moderator.
Romney is asked if Obama is a socialist.
Romney, unable for the fourth time to deal with
a question in real time, again retreats to a memorized
paragraph about Europe.
Romney is allowed to ramble for several minutes
telling everyone how wonderful he is.
