How is it that John McCain became our nominee in 2008?

Rudy had set up Super Tuesday to give him an advantage with winner-take-all primaries in NY and NJ. When Rudy stumbled in FL, McCain ran through that door instead.

NY and NJ are no longer on Super Tuesday and I believe they are no longer are winner-take-all.

So Huckabee and Romney didn’t split any votes at all leaving McCain the last RINO standing?
