>>> ... 0bama wants to be remembered, so he is busy creating The 0bama Depression.

He is busy creating the Obama Depression for a reason, to profit from the resulting crisis.

And what does he and his ilk want most? Forget about that 486 days count down, they want to crash the system so that the ‘normalcy’ no longer exists in short order.

Look at events around the world, it is moving beyond his control. He, the super-rich or even UN may not survive this, so who is (plural who’s are) going to profit from it?

Do you have your building already?
Was it a pre-engineered kit?

I was going to do a kit, but the locals pointed out that you can actually get a builder to do it for less than the kit. We’ll see. The foundation will have a two foot verticle rise that will be about 18” above the concrete floor. We’ll probably do a wood frame 10’ (maybe 12’) wall above that.

One we are looking at, if we do a kit is Strat-O-Span.

guns and seeds and rooms full of canned goods and toilet paper are OK if you think you can shelter in place and defend your family for maybe months of civil disorder.

For those of us in suburbia, precious metals in small denomination coins fit better into a bug-out bag than does a tractor and a chicken.

I just moved here from suburbia. And that is why.

People have to travel from the cities through about 80 miles of people like me to get to me. It’ll cull the herd.

But seriously, this is just an “insurance” sort of thing. It doesn’t remove risk. It merely mitigates it. It is also beyond beautiful here and a very, VERY rewarding lifestyle, even if we pull out of this. I really want to use my building as a rehearsal/recording studio, mancave, full garage for all mechanical work (with built in engine puller), woodworking/refinishing shop, etc.

But if the SHTF, it will be living quarters for five of my adult children, assuming they can make the 2000+ mile trek to get here.

Oh, yeah! Hike that US dollar again to finish destroying the USA for the one-worlders. Hopefully, many of my less spoiled fellow Americans are prepared. The elite constituents will have their politicians proceed with tearing your lives up more to continue those big government salaries and benefits, too (keeps potential, domestic competition down). See Argentina over the last 20 years or so.

Hi CL
Thanks for the Strat-o-Span recommendation.
Never heard of them and I thought I’d been to every prefab metal
building site on the net.

I’ve been pricing building for about a year. My last
quote 3 months ago at 45K for a 40x60x18, that’s everything,
Concrete, material, assembly, insulation, electrical.

I know I can do it myself cheaper, But I’m going to give Strat-o-Span a call.

Good Luck with your build.

Thanks Again

Strat o span seems to be hard to find on the web. I found them on a chat room site and bookmarked them. Then we moved and I could not find them with my wife’s laptop because I had forgotten the name. I kept thinking “Port-O-San” from the movie Woodstock. :-D

Then I got my desktop up and running and got them off my bookmarks. Really glad I did that.

The macroeconomic fundamentals say to panic too. In fact, anyone who has studied macroeconomics and history was out of the markets months ago, or more.
