The former Massachusetts governor now leads his nearest rival, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, by 27 points among likely New Hampshire voters, according to a Suffolk University-7News poll released Wednesday night. Perry finished far back, earning 8 percent compared with Romney's 41 percent. Paul took 14 percent and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman received 10 percent to round out the top four finishers.

Sounds like we're losing New Hampshire to the RINO class.

I thought this was a joke. It’s not. I can’t believe it.

Yet another reason why the primaries should be closed, and all occur on the same day.

I don’t care who the state run commie lib “media” selects as the GOP candidate in 2012. I won’t be voting for Romney.

He was pretty close to McCain in 2008.

John McCain 88,571 37.1%
Mitt Romney 75,546 31.6%

He's had years to build his NH ground game.

There’s still a lot of time for Perry to turn things around in NH. Amply can change in 5 months.

Apparently so. But I didn't expect it to be an ass whippin'. Are you seriously not surprised it's Romney 41, Paul 14, Perry 8?

Now why would a state that borders Massachusettes vote for a guy from Massachusettes? I can’t figure it out. /sarc

NH = 4 electoral votes

TX = 34 +4

I am very very frightened /sarcasm

Romney will not get the nomination.

First off, the sample seems suspect.

Suffolk reported a 4.9-point margin of error in the survey of 400 likely GOP primary voters taken Sept. 18 to 20.

5% MOE seems high.

Secondly, NH is terrible at picking GOP nominees. Stassen in '48. Cabot Lodge in '64. Buchanan in '96, McLame in 2000. The only reason anyones thinks the place is important is because they are the first to vote. SC is the state that picks GOP nominees and Perry is doing well there.

Yet another reason why the primaries should be closed, and all occur on the same day.

While it may sound appealing, a national primary is a terrible idea.

It would insure that the candidate with the most money would win.

Starting with a series of small states gives an underfunded candidate the chance to spend wisely, make an impact and leverage his support for the next round.

A national primary would simply produce one Mitt Romney after another.

I know they’re tiny. But it’s a psychological thing. If Perry gets mauled in NH, he’s got troubles. Don’t get me wrong. I know he’s going to win the nomination, but this was shocking to me.

Let me fix that:

Sounds like we're losing New HampshireWe've lost the Republican Party to the RINO class.

There, that's better.

They start the trend. Too many idiots in this country say “hey look, he’s ahead” and vote for the “winner” because they don’t know anything about any of the candidates.
