Correct this ads target audience is the Republican Primary voters.
Its a political ad. The words are not from Perry’s mouth, and I doubt he had a lot to do with the production content. I can see where you’re going with this and I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Only problem you’re ignoring is this is a political ad, most of which are over the top and dirty. We’ve seen them from Obama and other candidates. We see them from Romney against Perry. What ought to be of more interest to you is that we haven’t seen any from Romney against Obama.
Yes, the uninformed voter can fall prey to the portrayal of Obama being the victim here. But the perceptive window for these voters only matters within the few months preceding election day.
I would too, Beck did this but I do not think that it should be Perry's Job.
The “Evil Empire” speech was not a campaign speech demonizing a candidate for public office. Those who fail to keep up with history are doomed to repeat it. GHWB found out the hard way how a few choice words can turn a compaign into a nightmare. Between the “No New Taxes” comment and referring to Clinton/Gore as, “Those Bozos” the electorate chose to put Clinton into office. I do not believe personal insults work, especially not in today’s political world.
Nearly all political ads that are slimy are from PAC’s, not directly from candidates. Those ads which come directly from a candidate tend to be a losing proposition for that candidate.
