TULSA, Okla. — Master Sgt. Anthony Henry, a top Marine recruiting trainer for the southwestern United States, pulled up to Tulsa’s biggest gay community center on Tuesday morning and left his Chevy where he could make a fast getaway. “I have an exit strategy,” he said. “I know where my choke points are, I’ve strategically parked my car right on the curbside, I have an out.”
But as it happened, one of the strangest days in the history of the United States Marine Corps unfolded without the protests and insults that Sergeant Henry had feared. Sergeant Henry, who had been invited to set up a recruiting booth on the first day of the end of “don’t ask, don’t tell” at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center in downtown Tulsa, instead spent it in quiet conversation with a trickle of gay women who came in to ask about joining the Marines.

I’m almost glad my father (Commo Chief/Gunnery Sergeant, USMC 1943-65, WWII, Korea & early Vietnam) didn’t live to see this happen.
What I hope to see and will pray for is that our new president in 2012, overturns this stupid idiotic mind controlling order. The military wasn’t broken. This seems deeper and all of this is getting out of hand because it is crazy to redesign our military. You know, I have to say, why can’t men, be men too? This reminds me of how many of republican male politicians are now-so spineless/act like girly men or afraid they will offend someone if they act strong, to the point with respect-John McCain And Lindsey come to mind-some of the elected women in DC fight for their beliefs no matter what. Now, we want our great service people/the men to be more feminized as well> or change the military, perhaps to even collapse it since this president is a Marist and a social justice truther.
Hitting head on wall, why play social experiments in something which already proves to work. It is a shame/unethical to be FORCED in a military environment as to control the enforcement in making one maintain of a feeling to respect, to accept, another person’s choice. Why make it an-issue-if you are equal, what’s the deal? Ashamed, want to mandate feelings?? Be yourself, as long as others share tolerance, be happy. You cannot force others how to think in a free open society or control someone’s mind; their thoughts. Talk about taking away our own identity of thought. Hey, whatever you don’t like, we, the government will enforce you to accept. More marches to a closed society. This is dangerous road.
Like this morning’s “news” story about Chaz Bono on DWTS. Never finding the show interesting, I now have less reason to watch it.
Yes but the normal guys will be the ones who will go to jail if they say or do anything to offend the abnormal ones.
I don’t think that’s the problem. Surely any man who is a marine can protect himself if need be, and the need would be highly unlikely.

The greatest danger in this is that this could increase the support in the military for Democrat politicians--and consequently American decadence--and this is probably the primary motive behind it.
Another very bad consequence of it is spreading American decadence generally in the military, which has heretofore been resistant to it.
There have always been homosexuals in the military, but they have been discrete. Now, expect homosexuality to be flaunted, and this will have a demoralizing effect on the military.
Homosexual men and women can be effective combatants, which is what the military needs. What the military does not need is American decadence and demoralization.
I cannot help but think about that line of Eastwood’s in The Enforcer, when he says at a promotion board “what do you think this is, some kind of encounter group”.
Our whole society is now a functioning encountering group...who cares if the job can be done, let’s make sure no one’s feelings are hurt by being left out. After this, the most egregious example is coed submarines. “just take a few of those missiles tubes out and put in a separate shower and dorm, no problem”.

Last week I bought him the Marine Corps Times (with the homo declarations on the cover) with a bottle of single malt scotch to read it by.

And at that point we will find out how far depraved degraded viciously angry and savagely self hateing people with power (guns) will go.
Funny. Now I’m reading another ariticle that the alphabet group, LGBQT and whatever, are setting up protests outside military facilities demanding ever more rights. Now that they have their foot in the door watch out. It’s never been about equal rights. It’s about special rights.
How sad.
The Marines were once the proudest and finest fighting force on the planet. Now they will be just another sick part of our society.
You are wrong. Do you know the term “barracks justice”? If you are a military vet you would and this would not bother you to the extent it does. (others also).

It is now. I come from an extended military family and we have several members currently serving. This nothing new, btw, it has been going on since we’ve had a military.
The EM always handle their own problems and do it in a way which seldom has to be repeated since lessons taught in this way are long remembered.
I predict Civil War II between the Red and Blue states. I also predict that the Red State Confederate Army will not be homsexualized.
