You should be wondering about Ehud Barak, Israel’s defense minister. He is far to the left and it was he who was used to take down Netanyahu the first time. Further, he is taking it upon himself to destroy, even against court orders, Israeli settelements. His time is short.
Bibi has taken the stance of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Ayalon is not his enemy. Barak definitely is...as is peres...who tried to strike a private deal with abbas in secret and on his own.
peres made millions by having an illicit gambling concern with arafat. I do not know for the life of me why he isn’t behind bars.

Ayalon-— well, if I don’t have to wonder about him, the only reason I can think Israel is proposing this is because they know the Palestinians will refuse it.
