With the clock ticking toward a showdown, Israel floated the possibility of an interim solution to allow the Palestinians to establish a state within existing borders in Gaza and the West Bank and deal with all the tough stuff later, reports CBS 2s Marcia Kramer.

Your post reminds me...I was reading article comments. One poster referred to the Palestinians as Trans-Jordanians.
I’m having trouble believing this. Did you see the Glick excerpt in post #15? I’m wondering about Ayalon...
You should be wondering about Ehud Barak, Israel’s defense minister. He is far to the left and it was he who was used to take down Netanyahu the first time. Further, he is taking it upon himself to destroy, even against court orders, Israeli settelements. His time is short.
Bibi has taken the stance of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Ayalon is not his enemy. Barak definitely is...as is peres...who tried to strike a private deal with abbas in secret and on his own.
peres made millions by having an illicit gambling concern with arafat. I do not know for the life of me why he isn’t behind bars.
“I think the Palestinians have relied on the moderation of the U.S. for over 40 years to no avail. I think theyve heard this before. Its the boy who cried wolf, said CAIR New York President Zead Ramadan.”
“The Israelis do not trust the Palestinians. They think they want them to commit suicide. The Palestinians do not trust the Israelis. They don’t think they will commit suicide.”
-Wm. F. Buckley Jr.
“Peres” -— Didn’t know that about the gambling partnership with Arafat.
“Ehud Barak” -— Carville & Stanley Greenberg were sent over to help manage his campaign.
Ayalon-— well, if I don’t have to wonder about him, the only reason I can think Israel is proposing this is because they know the Palestinians will refuse it.
