I'm getting so that I rarely eat out; all I can taste is salt.

I quit eating salt quite a few years ago. The only time I use salt is when I cook certain food, especially BBQ. We went out to eat several months ago, and I sent my plate back because it was so salty, I could not taste the actual food.

Oddly enough, 9 times out of 10 when we eat out it's for BBQ. Easier (and faster, and likely tastier) to let someone else cook it. :-)

I went out with work to lunch the other day to Longhorn Steakhouse. It was almost inedible, all I could taste was salt/MSG/Spice on the steak. IMHO, the steak is what you're there to eat, and it's not just a means of transporting Salt from the shaker to your mouth.
