I have always voted straight republican in every election for every candidate local / national.
Even though I've never done it, there are times when it's good for the party to teach them a lesson and not vote or (if one has more of a stomache than I do) vote for the democrat. You know, when we are well beyond a majority in both houses and a republican in the WH and we refuse to vote to re-elect a McCain or a Graham. But this is NOT the time to be teaching the republican party a lesson. Doing so this year is punishing Americans more than Republicans, destroying our system more than teaching the GOP a lesson and destroying our own country.
Paul is last on my list and Romney is right next to him. I'm from New England and I can tell you... when you talk to Romney in person he's not real. He careful what he says (even in person) almost robotic and very fake. He's a lifetime politician. He's a politician first, republican second and just because he has some business knowledge does not make him by default a conservative. He does not even mingle with the Tea Party.
If these polls are right. The Perry critics (those claiming Perry is not conservative) have pretty much handed Romney the nomination.
While I would take anybody over Obama, it will be difficult for Romney to beat Obama on Obamacare. How could he have the credibility to be against Obamacare when he has Romneycare?
A lot of wisdom here. In what state do you live? I once lived in RI and in spite of it being infested with liberals, I still love the NE.
