As part of his campaign swing through New York this week, Rick Perry is courting key constituencies, including Hispanic and Jewish voters.
But on Monday he dined with the one constituent that could prove more influential than any religious or ethnic bloc this election: Rupert Murdoch.
The two men shared a meal at The Post House, a steak house just a few blocks from Mr. Murdoch’s Fifth Avenue apartment, said one person with direct knowledge of the meeting.
Mr. Murdoch has ties to more than a few actual and potential members of the 2012 Republican presidential field. His Fox News Channel has employed Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker, and Rick Santorum, the former senator from Pennsylvania, both of whom are actively seeking the nomination. Fox also has on contract Sarah Palin, who has flirted with a run for president but not officially declared.

...and this is a good thing.
Meanwhile back in Texas the Tea Party groups held a press conference on immigration . Inviting Perry to do the right thing by protecting his citizens against invasion through a policy on sanctuary cities and E-Verify.lots of press were there I heard.
One thing at a time.
He don’t need no Tea Party folks, he’s dining wit the big boys.

Just wasted 20 minutes reading through your smartass posts and mostly is Perry Derangement junk, with a bit of Palinwishing.
Too bad Palin has teased away her shot. All the Perry bashing in the world won’t rescue that lost campaign. Sarah was very smart to see the handwriting on the wall and figure a way to make millions as a very decent backup career.
On second consideration, lots of evidence that many of the cronic Perry bashers are hiding under Palin’s skirt to cover for their skunkish ronpaulnuttiness. That shoe is looking very fitting for winoone.
