She confided in me that she voted for him because "he had such beautiful eyes..." I had to walk away at that point in the discussion.

Nah 48% not going to happen, no current polling shows a voting public that enamored with him. Anecdotal stories about wife's friends are useless and not indicative of anything. Right now against any Republican challenger he would lose by 50-100 electoral votes and that's all that matters baby, polls about popularity are for losers,TV pundits, and Freeeprs who are killing time before a meal.

Never underestimate the stupidity of a group of people at any given time.

The fact that we are on this board at all puts us above 60% of the electorate, at least. What I can’t figure out is how many people just don’t give a damn about any of this at all, that’s what bothers me so.

I forget the exact numbers that one study I ran across did, but the amount of people who didn’t even know who the hell Joe Biden is was staggering.

Exactly. Trouble is some are addicted to the propaganda polls. They rely on them to see how they should think and that's the reason they were created - to sway, to convince. And, unfortunately, they are successful at times. We read many on FR mimicking them!
