The thing about Perry is, he is being exposed and vetted and is coming out shining. There is one thing he is very good at, and that is explaining himself, as well as defending himself.

Most consider Perry's performance a disappointment in the last debate. He will have plenty of other opportunities to redeem himself, but clearly this poll shows Romney narrowing the gap with Perry.

I wouldn't say he's coming out shining, but I would still vote FOR him in the general elections, as opposed to just voting against Obama.

The good thing is that all of our candidates are being vetted. This doesn't look like it will end the way I would have preferred a few months ago, but it's better we are finding out everything now rather than getting blind-sided in the general elections.

There is one thing he is very good at, and that is explaining himself, as well as defending himself.

I think he's been caught a few times, but he'll get better as time goes on. Reagan didn't get off to a great start either, and many Dems were glad he was the nominee because they thought Carter could beat him.
