I know how that feels. Sorta. My beloved cousins and aunt/uncle 200mi from us in the hinterlands used to have a Dairy Queen near them (we NEVER have had a close DQ). DQ left but someone took over the place locally and called it Dairy Dip, so the deliciosity continued. For a while. They had car nights, too (I’m a car nut). Then they closed; it’s been 15-20 years. No more wonderful soft ice cream up there.

DQ is who bought our local one out.
No more chocolate malts, no more steak sangwichs, no more car shows. :(
