Probably for the same reason that Perry badmouthed AZ's law. He didn't think police officers should check legal status. That was taking the police from their jobs and making them perform immigrations job. *rolling eyes* Never mind that they could have called immigration to take the culprits away. He is so wishy washy on the illegals.
Most pols whether federal or local seem to be hell bent on giving illegals everything on our dime.
