By the way, that grant to Countrywide resulted in almost 4000 jobs, and the state of Texas got $8 million back from Countrywide/BofA for the jobs that weren’t created - so that was not a case of a politician rewarding his friends/contributors - it was an investment that gave positive returns to the people and state of Texas. Sounds like they did a pretty good job of due diligence...
