So it passes and you decide to carry concealed in New York or Chicago, and survive a stop by the police.

What are the chances you’ll end up charged with some crime which will result in loss of your right to possess a firearm let alone carry it concealed.

The intent is good, but I dont think this law will work in practice.

I generally hate the Federal Government and it’s unrelenting gaggle of useless laws, but since this is a Second Amendment issue, it seems to me that the Congress should pass a law that guns and the carrying of same is a Federal issue and the states can have no jurisdiction (just as now most states have “preempted” local governments from passing gun control laws). But then we have so many “limp dick” Republicans in Congress, it will never happen.
