Since so many states now have “right to carry” laws I would think that these states at least would honor permits by other states. It wouldn’t help much in NY or places like that but you’d be good in most states.
In a statement released this week Stearn says: “An individual’s license to drive is valid in other states, and my bill would apply that principle to concealed carry permits.”
So it applys the principal that you have to have a license to exercise a Constitutional right? A license which can be revoked on a whim in many jurisdictions.
My copy of the Constitution must be a misprint. Nowhere in the Second Amendment does it require a permit to keep and bear arms.
The real kicker to that law is that someone who lives in NJ can’t carry in NJ(NJ is a won’t issue state) but could carry in NY on a Florida license. Anyone in the country with a valid CCW can carry in the “won’t issue” states except the residents!
