The Jews were taking “revenge” for the actions of the Israeli police.
My understanding is that these were Israeli police.
The mosque attack was in response to acts by the Israeli police, not by Palestinians.
It may or may not be applicable in the way you describe it but to the Jews losing their homes because of what they see as attempted appeasement, by their government, of a sworn enemy that wants to extirminate them...the concept is very appropriately applied.
Nonsense. The Palestinians did not destroy those homes and you and numerous other posters on this thread are being either foolish or dishonest.
Revenge actions sometimes have taken place after government actions against a Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria. The demolition of three Jewish homes in Migron, in Samaria, took place in the middle of the night and after an unusual nighttime appeal to the judicial system to overturn a temporary injunction against the destruction.
The government action particularly incensed nationalists because the High Court told Defense Minister Ehud Barak last June that the entire Migron community must be demolished but not until March 2012.
Migron was built with the approval of the Israeli government, and appeals for its demolition were filed by Jewish leftists claiming that the land belongs to Arabs, even though the owners are not identifiable. The court recognized that the land was parcelled out by Jordan and as such is not state land.
It seems that there is a violent struggle going on between the conservative and leftist Jews in Israel. I didn't realize that their differences had come to this.
It is testimony to the intense irrationality of leftism that there are leftist Israeli ideologues demanding concessions from such a vulnerable country as Israel in an attempt to mollify such an implacable foe as Islam.
