Germany had gone from the top of of ratings list to near the bottom with only three countries scoring lower.

Interesting part is that Ireland had gone from near the bottom to the top with their programs to emphasize technology and higher education and have achieved economic stability in a very short time by attracting technology business from all over Europe.

This sounds a lot like what Perry is doing in Texas.

That's really interesting to hear about Ireland's success, and yea, it sure does sound similar to some of the successes Texas has had from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF). I hope we'll be seeing ALL of America now benefit financially from such private / public - high tech / higher ed collaborations in the future too!

I don’t think he’d do a horrible job as president, but I’m more interested in someone who accomplishes rather than someone who just fights. He’d certainly be better than Obama, but he’s not turning the corner with everyone. From my point of view, his being the right man to lead the nation forward is becoming less and less obvious. I hope we’ll see more of the real guy and less of the public persona that we’ve seen so far.
