The minivan guy needs to have an assistant lay down about 5 gallons of waste oil out the rear hatch at the next curved section of road. That would be a YouTube for the ages.
I understand they shut down I-70 at one point to try to control the situation, but everyone just blew around the police.
When I came to a stop because of the cars in front of me, they were blowing by up the white lines, weaving in and out of the lanes. We started to move again as the huge group was going west on I-64 in the three left lanes (hundreds of bikes), when all of the sudden they all decided to cut us all off and go north on I-270. They looked like an army of quick ants as far ahead and behind as you could see.
They didn’t care about anything but mayhem. The situation reinforced one of my core beliefs - we are responsible for our own protection. In the event of a mob like I saw today, the police couldn’t do a thing. Had violence broken out, we were on our own.
I could have handled 30 of them, but they would have gotten me in a bum’s rush while I was reloading.
