“If Palin had just kept her job as Governor and stayed away from fluff Reality TV and spotlight hogging media appearances she might have been able to compete this time around. Which is why it’s obvious she isn’t running in 2012.”
Bingo. I totally agree. She should have served out her term. Immediately after leaving her position, she started touring the country on a book tour and suddenly appeared on FOX as a commentator. Looks opportunistic and a quick chance to cash in. Don’t blame her, but stay out of politics and stop leading on your supporters.

My response:
I agree she took the wrong route if she had wanted to run for POTUS this time around, but I get angry when I think back to Karl Rove's commentaries we heard over and over again right after her VP run in 2008. I remember him telling the world Sarah Palin would be well served for a Presidential run if she would take some time to "brush up on things... go see the world and talk to people all over the world... get a news commentator's position and gain some visibility and use it to become better educated on issues... get speaking engagements to show others who she is and what she knows"...
Well Sarah Palin DID all that, almost exactly what I remember Karl Rove sitting on his FOX News high horse said over and over again right after that VP run, and where did it get her?
It took her out of her office, putting her in a position to have to defend why she did not stick it out, and it has put her in a position where she now has to fight appearances of being money hungry (FOX $1 million year contract, speaking fees, etc.), and it has put her in a position of having to defend why she is out there all the time going places and speaking everywhere.
The more I see what has happened to Sarah Palin's public perception during the presidential race, the more I get angry thinking Karl Rove set her up for such a time as this.
Sarah Palin never changed, but how people saw her did.
