“What is the president’s strategy here?”
When the economy doesn’t improve in the next year (and it won’t), he’ll try to blame Republicans for not passing his bill. It won’t work.

If he tries to do that, I will turn him in to #attackwatch, a new conservative site on Twitter. (/s)

You are correct on both accounts. This is exactly what’s going on. He’ll try to blame the wretched economy on the fact that the Republicans won’t pass his latest Klueless Keynesian Kenyan “stimulous”. And this strategy isn’t going to work.

But it’s an interesting campaign strategy because normally the Obammunists usually just send trial balloons up the flagpole and if it doesn’t flap in the polls, they quickly run up a different balloon. But this phony jobs bill strategy has a very lengthy setup time before they can get to the blame-line, so they would appear to have put quite a few of their long-term strategy eggs in this basket. And the good thing for us is that it has no chance of working at all. The fact that they’re pursuing such a faulty campaign strategy makes me wonder just how desperate and out of better ideas they really are.
