I am sorry to hear that your principles are so easily swayed by the illusion of expediency.
I am hoping we can count on you to vote for the Republican in the general election, regardless of who he/she is.
Wadderya, stupid? It is EXACTLY "regardless of who he/she is" that is the problem! The 'lesser of two evils' plan still does, and always will extend evil.
Anyone considering themselves to be even somewhat conservative has to agree that the best course for America is ABO -- Anyone But Obama.
Yes, that's always the dilemma, isn't it? When in the past thirty years HASN'T it been "OMG!!! We have to vote for ANYONE but [Insert current boogeyman here]!"
Liberalism advances not by it's own veracity, nor by it's efficacy. It advances because there is no opposition to it - The enemy in the field is not as dangerous as the enemy within the gates. When one votes for someone who is not an all-around Conservative, one will advance liberalism to some degree instead. To expect to win with such a philosophy is foolishness, because even if one wins, it is a Pyrrhic victory, every time.
If the Republicans want to win so badly, then give Conservatives someone to vote *FOR*.
We cannot allow Obama another term. No matter what. Are you willing to put the country at risk to stand by your principles?
We all would love to have a true conservative as president. But we have to fight the enemy first!
