I’ve got no idea how lobbying works but can see it’s very incestuous and corrupt. I know term limits have been thrown around, and am finding it might be a good idea. I’m thinking Bloomberg as I write... As for the Aides, they need to circulate at least every two years, as it appears they also need “rewards”. They all apparently come to believe that the money belongs to them.
I think American Progress has played a bigger part in this scheme than is apparent at the moment. It’s also grown a lot since I last looked at it. It must be a multi-million conglomerate. Where are they getting the money...
American progress gets its money from a lot of front organizations. It’s hard to find exactly who’s behind them.
“The Center for American Progress is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization under U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The institute receives approximately $25 million per year in funding from a variety of sources, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. From 2003 to 2007, the center received about $15 million in grants from 58 foundations. Major individual donors include George Soros, Peter Lewis, Steve Bing, and Herbert M. Sandler. The Center receives undisclosed sums from corporate donors.”
