Ex-soviet Georgia faces many problems Russia has - low birth rate, lousy agricultural investment, Muslim growth. Importing German and English, Christian speaking farmers into an area with German and English speaking Georgians, with farmers eager to be safe is better than importing Turks. And South African farmers exported a lot of crops - bringing an international trade network former Soviets do not have.
This is likely a win - win. It is certainly better than Afrikaaner farmers, currently facing the world’s highest murder rate, being slaughtered.
