Authorities said Thursday that they have shut down a direct pipeline into the city by one of Mexico’s most dangerous drug cartels with the arrest of five people.

The arrests were the result of five months’ work, which included wiretaps conducted by the Dangerous Drug Offender’s Unit of the city District Attorney’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration in Philadelphia and El Paso, Texas, as well as the FBI.

Authorities arrested three people in the Northeast on Sept. 8, including the alleged distributor for the Sinaloa Cartel, which operates in the Mexican provinces of Sinaloa and Juarez. Two more people were arrested in Texas.

Thought the public announcement connecting a Cartel to Philadelphia was noteworthy. You know, in case the Liberty Bell shows up some day in a melt pile in a Chester scrap yard and people wonder how could that happen?

Could someone please remind me if the Sinaloa cartel is one of the ones the DEA has been helping, or if that’s one of the ones they want to shut down?

I’m still waiting on an answer from the PA 8th Congress person about fast and furious guns into Philadelphia gangs.

Only been about two months.

“Could someone please remind me if the Sinaloa cartel is one of the ones the DEA has been helping, or if that’s one of the ones they want to shut down?”

Helping.

This is probably just a “good faith” show of minor law enforcement to provide evidence they did not really cut a deal with this cartel to aid and abet their operations in exchange for info about the other cartels. Our government “picking winners and losers” again.

A few low-levels thrown under the bus as cover-up for the growing and treasonous BHO/WH/DOJ/DOS/BATFE/DHS/DEA/ICE/Sinaloa/Zeta/La Raza/SEIU/NBP/ETC/ETC/ETC Cartel.

The fuzz have it all wrong on this one. The Sinaloa Cartel is on OUR side! The feds have been sending them thousands of guns and lots of encouragement for years.

Maybe they should go after some real enemies,... like the Philly Tea Party?

I believe the ATF has been helping the Sinaloa cartel and the State Dept. has been helping their rival, the Zetas. I’m waiting for some walked guns to show up in our cities away from the border.
