KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Northern Kosovo Serbs spent the night at the barricades which have been fortified, blocking the road Kosovska Mitrovica-Raška road and all other major roads.

At the administrative crossings, they have unloaded large quantities of gravel and dirt in front of the barbed fire put up by KFOR soldiers, stopping all traffic.

At both the Brnjak and Jarinje crossings, the gravel blocks are several meters high, and at Jarinje it also blocks the road leading to the KFOR base near the crossing.

Barricades have also been fortified in the village of Rudare in the Zvečan municipality. In Zvečan, trucks are blocking the road near the railway bridge across the Ibar River, but one lane is still open for traffic.

The road from Zvečan to Kosovska Mitrovica is also blocked near the entrance to the city, with one lane open. The barricade on the main bridge over the Ibar, which divides the south from the north part of Mitrovica, has also been fortified.

During the night, the barricade at the eastern bridge across the Ibar was also fortified, with several trucks unloading gravel to build an obstacle over two meters high.

Video surveillance at the bridge was damaged while the barricade was being put in place. Kosovo police officers, who came to the bridge immediately after, withdraw just after 23:00 CET , with one of their vehicles staying on the northern side of Kosovska Mitrovica.

On the southern side of the bridge, local police officers are joined by members of the EULEX police.

Serbs also used logs to block the Kosovska Mitrovica - Ribarici road at the village of Zupče.

At several locations across northern Kosovo, people are ready to block roads with trucks on a moment's notice if KFOR troops try to move. They have already blocked a KFOR unit in Sočanica near Leposavić.

Tolerate? They set it up and clearly intend to rid it of the remaining Serbs.

The Europeans are too busy with Libya and their own internal issues to have much time for Kosovo.

Who do you mean by "they"?

I thought it was Bubba J. Sinkmeister and BobDole who set up an independent, jihadist Kosovo.

My concern is that these may become border crossings. The Albanian invaders should be driven back to their actual home; this isn’t a case of ‘ethnic’ peoples divided by an artificial border. When Communist Albania collapsed, refugees who could went to Italy, and the rest went to Serbia. None of the three countries is better off.

I must not have read this article very well and lost track of Kosovo. Are these the muzzies doing this? Seems all muzzies wanna riot when the UN votes on the SCarab pali state full of mutts, terrorists and haters.

So the question I suppose is why the barricades now and where are he Christians and just normal folks in Kosovo?

Does all of the ME and beyond seem like a poweder keg with a short fuse to you( any of you) or am I just making this up in my head?

Is there any hope of convincing Rick Perry or anybody else in the GOP that we’ve been on the wrong side of everything in the Balkans??
