IMO, a Romney nomination splits the party and the third party allows the Democrats to walk right back in, whether its Obama or not.

Yeah.
Perry gets fewer Indies but more GOP.
Mitt gets fewer GOP but more Indies, but also probably gets a third party challenge from the right and that will reelect Oblahblah.
