Notice, he did not scramble for work while the unemployment checks rolled in.

Why should it? Did you notice it received $367.00 this check, which was $160 less than it usually got? It was getting about $2300 a month with no taxes, no driving, no clothing expense. It had it made. Maybe it is time I loose my job.

Unemployment is considered taxable income by the IRS.

UI is taxable as ordinary income.
