Clever, wasn’t it, for Oceander to attack Palin supporters, rather than Palin herself.

It would be based on all the “Ooh, ooh, Sara’s gonna announce today” threads that I’ve seen so far during my long experience here on FR.

Where’s the info coming from that she’s scheduled to be on the Bob & Mark Show today? Is that solid or just more rumor?

Now, THERE’S a good one. Palin supporters are “pretend” conservatives.
Hmm. Yeah, that’s right! I’m really a liberal in disguise and I want Sarah Palin to run because she’s stupid and going to lose and then I can watch our country go down the drain which is what it deserves because the people who founded it were all racist white guys. Hahahahahaha!

Why not make a decision tree, or an equally likely decision matrix. Wouldn't that be Palin's job?

Unlike any of the other candidates... or anyone in DC for that fact... Sarah promised to announce on their show first... and she keeps her word. She does not lie and she does not go back on promises... IF she announces... it will happen on their show first.

Remember this about Sarah Palin, she's got the media running to her with every move she makes. Doesn't matter if she announces on a "dinky" radio show or if she announces on national television in prime time. She will generate a media frenzy all the same. Also, I think she might be taking a bit of personal satisfaction in making her announcement on a local radio show as opposed to sucking up to the media elite and doing it on their terms.
Others question her making the announcement on a Friday as it leads into the weekend and her announcement might be "old news" by Monday morning. People, this campaign has over a year left to go and this campaign is going to be in the daily news cycle for many months to come! Once the campaign is in full swing, nobody is going to remember that Palin made her announcement on a Friday in the middle of September as opposed to a Monday or Tuesday.
I think a pre-weekend, low-key announcement is smart for Palin. She doesn't need a big splash of an announcement. Everybody already knows who she is. Let the shock of the announcement settle over the weekend and she can hit the ground running next week.

Yes well lets try not be become adversaries.
Perrys a good guy in my book. Ive ended up on the opposite side from several Perry people the last few days, but lets both sides remember the real goal in all this is to get that sleazy Marxist out of office.
Attacking other Republicans is not the way to do that.
On that point I whole-heartedly agree with you my friend.
Discussion and debate should be about shaking out the various proposals to get rid of Obama and undo the damage he's done, and not about making personal attacks on each other.
I am, as you no doubt can tell, a Perry supporter; however, I am happy to acknowledge that he has some warts and pimples on his political record - I'd be suspicious if he didn't - and I am happy to acknowledge that Ms. Palin is an effective advocate for conservativism and that the Republican candidates could definitely not go wrong by taking many of her positions seriously as reflecting the views of a large number of Americans; however, I also maintain that her record is not as pristine as some - and I am not referring to you - maintain and some of her talking points are a bit unrealistic.
My primary concern with Ms. Palin is not that she's some sort of a loser, but that she's still a bit too green - it still takes time to make a fine wine, even from the first pressing of the grapes - and that she stands more to lose from running now than if she kept up her current public role and looked to stand for President in 2016 or 2020. I think that if she were to do that, she would be almost unstoppable.

I don’t think Sarah thinks she is the only one who can win—it is obvious Zero is a mortally wounded president, wounded by his own ignorance and arrogance-—but as she said, it is not enough to change uniforms. We have to change the game plan. And there is enough difference with Perry that I think Sarah should enter. If Perry wins the nomination, he will be a lot easier to vote for than Mitt, but I would still wonder if we are not sliding towards statism, just at slower rate. It is a fair question to ask of establishment republicans as Nixon and both Bushes have essentially been dilute liberals on domestic policy.

Well look at it this way. If I’m wrong just think of all the fun you’re going to have saying “I told you so.”
