I don’t think I’m wrong about Babe Ruth, unless I’m not understanding your meaning. I remember him being used as one of the cultural markers. Not saying they didn’t use other baseball info as well.

Oh I didn't mean that the Babe wasn't used........just that he wasn't the ONLY only! Watch the old movies about WW II, especially "STALAG 17" !
