Food labeling is something you really don’t want politicized. And I remember the “frozen chicken” controversy with Tyson as revealed by Frank Perdue.
Totally agree. Producers of food should not be free to change the nomenclature such that it is misleading, inaccurate. I am not big on federal regulations, I believe generally speaking fraud laws could do a better job of enforcement than the FDA ever could (this is a perfect example, where they are changing the label for HFCS to Corn Sugar without FDA or USDA approval).
There is no such thing as Corn Sugar, to my knowledge. It is a concoction made from rearranging molecules of corn. Corn Sugar is false and misleading.

The cane juice is considerebly less refined than white sugar. It still contains most of the natural flavinoids from the plant.
