Israel Calls for Continuing Aid for Palestinians (barf)

WASHINGTON, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Israel is urging the international community to continue aid to the Palestinians just as U.S. lawmakers are contemplating an aid cutoff if the Palestinians press for statehood at the United Nations.

An Israeli government website on Thursday carried a report saying the Palestinian Authority already faced economic and fiscal woes, in part due to a decline in donor aid.

"Israel calls for ongoing international support for the PA budget and development projects that will contribute to the growth of a vibrant private sector, which will provide the PA an expanded base for generating internal revenue," said the Israeli report.

"The economic slowdown can be attributed largely to the fiscal crisis currently plaguing the PA, which is due primarily to a decline in donor aid, and the inability to obtain loans from the banking system to finance the shortfall," it said.

The document, titled "Measures Taken by Israel in Support of Developing the Palestinian Economy and Socio-Economic Structure," is to be submitted Sept. 18 in New York to the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee.

Yup. What would the US founding fathers have done without all that foreign aid? Build a republic from scratch with their bare hands? (snicker) Can't have a vibrant private sector without it. Nosirreebob./s

This is madness.

Let the bastards sink or swim on their own for a change....empty stomachs might slow down the rocket barrage.

And turn off the electricity and gas to Gaza!

Seriously, it’s **** like this, Israel. No matter *what* you do, the Paleos are *never* going to love you. And they’re *never* going to like you, or even tolerate that you are alive. SO QUIT TRYING TO BE THEIR FRIEND!

I has never worked, and it will never work. Why you permit them in your country is masochism to the point of suicide.

If ANY other country in the world had a murderous nuisance like that, they would have long ago expelled it, and that would be the end of it.

But Israel keeps toying with it, like a cat with a diseased rat. A filthy, snarling rat.

For the last time, the Paleos *do not* validate your existence. Stop trying to empathize with people who want to kill you. Booting them out of your country has no comparison with what the Nazis did to you, so quit pretending there is any moral comparison at all.

Feeding them, giving them electricity and water, is just the height of self-destructive stupidity. If you want to be abused that badly, hire some leather woman to beat you, while calling you filthy names. But stop endangering your entire nation by cultivating your destroyers.

Let the Saudis pay what they promised to pay, and there is no need for US money or EU money. Saudi is now threatening to pull back from US cooperation in the region and do its own money diplomacy if the US vetoes a UN resolution next week for PA statehood. GOOD! Veto it and let the Saudis kick in $2.5 billion a year.

The Palestinians really have so many deep rooted problems they refuse to confront, they obfuscate and delay to their detriment. I think, say 6:5 that if the Palestinian unilaterally declare a state it won’t harm Israel too much. Sure the two sides would still be in dispute over land and resources, but, Palestinians need to figure out how to 600 thousand immigrants in Lebanon, possibly millions from Jordan, normalize the population in Gaza, negotiate a land bridge (they don’t really want a land bridge, the West Bank people want to keep the Gaza and Lebanese Palestinians out!) and of course, trade routes. They grow food and make textiles in the West Bank, but they need to get through Israel to get to market. The need currency (they use the Israeli Shekel) they need infrastructure, water, electricity, criminal justice system, 1 police force (and not 10 militias).

All these and other problems won’t go away with a UN vote, or $2.5 billion a year in donations. They need a long hard thoughtful approach to all these issues, and to come up with a sum that will resolve them. I’m thinking it would be in the $40-50 billion range with a 10 year program to build housing, sewers, electricity, water etc. And they still need to decide if they want to use Israeli currency or float their own “palestinian pound” on the market.

The only aid the “Fakestinians should receive is a one way train ticket out of the Land of Israel......

........and they can take that vulgar, gold domed House of HaSoton with them, stone by stone, off our Temple Mount, with them on the way out.
