I hope they sampled Northern Virginia on this. They get a lions share of the fed jobs and are chugging along really well in regard to real estate and unemployment. Full of libs.

Yes, Northern Virgina is a cesspool of liberalism. What do you expect with all those government workers and journalists? Northern Virgina has none of the charm and grace of the rest of the state. Most (or nearly most) of the residents weren't born in Virginia or have any lineage in the state. I wouldn't live there for any amount of money.

If you excluded Northern Virginia, Obama's disapproval numbers would be over 60% and maybe higher.

NoVA wags the dog at this point. Loudon and Fairfax counties have gone blue since 2000. There's a handful of conservative districts left, but they are overwhelmed by the hoards of libs that flocked here. It's only a (short) matter of time until they convert it into New Jersey on the Potomac.

The only way the Repubs take VA is if voters in Fairfax, Loudon and the VA Beach area stay home.

Not anymore. Housing prices have dropped and every time I go for a drive I notice that yet another long time business has closed. Northern Virginia was in a fantasy land for a long time but it’s fraying around the edges.
