I’m sorry but you know nothing about our politics and are over estimating liberal strength in NOVA. Only Faifax and Arlington counties are blue. McDonnell won Fairfax county in 2009 and is very popular. Obuggery is not winning here in 2012. His goose is cooked.

NoVA was nice 15 years ago. But I was happy to leave it behind this year. It’s rapidly turning into a liberal suburban multiculti megalopolis. I knew I wasn’t a good fit anymore when I started seeing entire shopping centers without any English signage (and in fact no recognizeable stores at all, just blacked-out fronts) and buildings flying national flags other than Old Glory on the highest pole (the Koreans are the worst offenders in that department). The only other place in America that I ever saw such multiculti nonsense was NYC.

Not anymore. Housing prices have dropped and every time I go for a drive I notice that yet another long time business has closed. Northern Virginia was in a fantasy land for a long time but it’s fraying around the edges.

And look for Warner to retire in 2014....at best, it’d be a difficult race, and even if he won...he’d be in the minority...

Fits with the FL poll the other day that shows a swing toward the more conservative GOP candidates and away from Romney. People want less government.

8 states, off the top of my head that Obama won in 2008 which he will not likely win in 2012:

1. VA

2. IN

3. FL

4. OH

5. NV

6. NM

7. NC

8. NH

Obama’s war on coal has killed any lingering support he may have had west of Roanoke and Abingdon.

Yes, it’s looking good, though I’m still not so sure that a couple of those (NM, NH) woll flip. I’d add MI, CO, and WI to the list to boot.

Oh, and PA - the coal industry comment he made three years ago, should’ve never won that state after that. Slow learners should be welcomed if the goal of getting rid of Obama is possible.

Add Sarah Palin to your list:

"Such an approach would require some drastic spending cuts, of the sort that can become politically uncomfortable for Republicans. Palin said bring it on. “There is so much spending that is not a priority for national security or for those constitutionally mandated services and accepted services that the public wants to see their federal government provide—take care of those things,” she said. “Everything else is going to have to wait, and that’s just reality.” She would like to revamp, or even eliminate, whole agencies—the Department of Energy, for example—as Reagan once spoke of doing. “That’s the kind of grand reform that is very, very difficult to do. But it can be done.”"

That’s funny. Can I steal it as a tagline?

If those States do not vote for him in 2012, he will only have 273 Electoral Votes

Did you factor in the movement of electoral votes?

Darn. I mean, good for you for doing the extra work and being on top of it, but your total was so close, I was sort of hoping you forgot that and there was a net loss of about 4 from the states he kept that you hadn’t taken into account.

Well, there is 1 more as he won the 1st Nebraska Congressional District by less that 1% in 2008, and I doubt that will hold.

But there are no 3 EC States that he won (VT, DE, and DC) that I see flipping easier than 4 EC New Hampshire.
