“Perry’s Achilles heal is the immigration issue.”

i think that will only be the case in the primaries. The MSM won’t go after him on this issue, and more conservative Republicans aren’t going to support Obama in the general election. BUT from what i’ve read on FR, Perry’s debate performance appears to be somewhat anemic; so, i hope he’s ready for bear with the facts, when it comes to the presidential debates with Obama, where anything Perry says will be dissected by the MSM and interpreted in the worst possible light. Maybe he needs Newt as his debate coach, or his stand-in during the debates? Just hope the nominee doesn’t participate in any debates moderated by the usual NPR, MSM, CNN, liberal propagandists. Why can’t the Republican nominee choose the forum, or at least the moderators for 2 out of the 3 debates, instead of relying on the usual biased liberal lap dog hosts?

From what I've read on FR, most folks thought Perry did a decent job overall and was good answering questions directly from Wolf. But was weak in his defensive responses to the other candidates. Its not an easy task when your the #1 target and others are coming straight at your frontrunner status in a fevered desperation. Hopefully he'll get better on defesne.
