Mr. President, are we finished paying for your pep rallies? I mean, you were like the Homecoming King this week.
President Obama went to Columbus, Ohio Tuesday to speak to children at a high school about his new jobs act.
The president spoke to these adoring teenagers for 17 minutes! THATS ALL. And that includes being interrupted by the delirious crowd 44 times for applause, and several times for eruptions like, Pass this bill! Pass this bill! Pass this bill! Pass this bill!
You, taxpayer, flew him out there for this nonsense.
And then, silly people, you did it again!
The president jetted Wednesday to Raleigh, N.C., where he spoke to more star-struck young things at North Carolina State University.
This time we got 21 minutes out of him.
Id say its a little more bang for the dollar, except that this time he was interrupted 72 times for applause, along with ample laughter and affirmations like, I love you, Barack!
You think Im overstating this? From a report by WRAL in Raleigh.
Reynolds Coliseum took on a pep rally-like atmosphere in the hours before the speech as the N.C. State marching band played and the crowd rocked to the rhythm.
Thousands of N.C. State students lined up Tuesday to get tickets to Obamas speech.
Why is he talking to children? Because he gets interrupted by applause 72 times! I mean, seriously, why do you ask?
Adults realize that Obama is a faded rock star of questionable musical talent who had a couple of early hits but hasnt been able to follow them up.
Another reason is that most of these impressionable kids will be old enough to vote in these key swing states, North Carolina and Ohio.
And, oh yeah, theres the jobs bill.

No way. You guys act like we are never going to have a republican president again. We do not need the President getting money from the RNC for reelection rallies. Can we for once, think long term instead of being spoiled because there is a Democrat in office. Do we really need the RNC to spend money on rallies that could go to good candidates in other races. BIG PICTURE FOLKS!!!!!
No president should be doing this, no matter the party.
I would think that Barry has better things to do than campaign 24/7.
He could be golfing.
Awards Medal of Honor at 2:45, next event is at 7. So from 2:50 to 7 he’s free to play golf.
Barack Obama already has White House remodeling plans: the bowling alley is gone
April 26, 2008 | 8:58 pm 00INDIANAPOLIS — He hasn’t yet won the Democratic nomination for president, let alone the November general election. But already Illinois Sen. Barack Obama says he has some renovation plans for the White House.
“I have sworn that we’re taking out the bowling alley in the White House and we’re putting in a basketball court,” he said, according to a pool press report of his visit this afternoon to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle, Ind., today.
The Illinois Democrat is a big basketball fan and player. He shot a few baskets and looked at display cases and walls filled with pictures, pennants, jerseys, trophies and other memorabilia.
In a state where basketball is practically a religion, Obama has been mentioning the game at virtually every stop since he played a three-on-three game Friday evening with the winners of a voter registration effort organized by his campaign.
But this was the first word about his actual plans to change the White House after his poor 37 score and numerous gutter balls while trying to bowl during his Pennsylvania campaign.
We sure didn’t say anything about this when President Bush was going all over the country in 2003-2004. That is my only problem with this. We are conservatives and supposed to be consistent in our thinking. No just have rules for one party but not take personal responsibility for our own.
The country is hurting, you’d think Barry would make some pretense of working to solve the problems (that he created).
To put in in perspective, that's about three times as long as he spent at the Flight 93 Memorial Site here in nearby Shanksville, PA
We wanted to go on the 10th anniversary, but made it a point to hold off on our drive until a couple hours after he left.
The shuttle bus driver from the main parking lot to then memorial volunteered to us all that he spent a grand total of 6 minutes or so here laying a wreath at the impact site and reading some remarks.
It was obvious that the crowd there weren't his kind of people-- a lot of patriotic clothing, local school choirs singing patriotic hymns, large groups of patriotic motorcycle clubs who were there for the dual purpose of showing their respect and to protect against any disruptive hippies or moonbats, not one of whom managed to show up, as far as we could tell.
I think the shuttle bus drive caught himself when he said "Well, what can you expect? He's the president and he's a busy man?" To which I shot back "And we've got some great golf courses here in SW Pennsylvania!" to the laughter of the people on the bus.
Perhaps it would be better if you included just who President Bush spoke to, age of audience, and if he also performed an official function to coordinate with the purpose of the trip.
Just saying.
Smells like politics to me.
