In advance of intensifying scrutiny of the loan, the White House has noted that the Bush administration was the first to consider Solyndra’s application, and that some executives at the company have a history of donating to Republicans.

The Bush administration is [what else is new] being blamed in a news report I heard although under Bush the company was turned down; so my opinion would suggest someone then told Solyndra to wait it out as they would find a more welcoming committee under the Obama 'Green' administration.

VIDEO

Obama administration hailed the Solyndra loan as the first in a series of federal infusions for "green energy" firms that held the potential to clean up the environment and create jobs"... "Money well spent." Shocked workers walk into the company and the doors are shut..no one saw it coming." Not enough money for a severance package." "Republicans said they smelled a rat from the beginning."

Billionaire George Kaiser fund raiser for Obama could not be found for comment.

Rep. Henry Waxman-D is on a roll!

“My understanding is that Solyndra applied for this loan in 2006 when Bush was President,”

What Waxman fails to mention is the fact that the loan was denied by the Bush Administration.

Of course the Dept. of Energy is in full CYA mode and insisting that the loan wasn’t rejected by the Bush Administration but “remanded it back for further analysis”.
