“Children who attend will learn to think and reason godlessly.”

I can’t tell you how many times my students have said, “You can’t talk about religion in school,” whenever anything remotely referencing God/faith/etc. comes up in class discussion. They have been successfully trained to chant the meme.
I usually follow this with a lengthy discussion of the error of their statement, the First Amendment to the Constitution, the role Christianity has played in our nation’s founding, the little mention about the teaching of the Gospel found in the Northwest Ordnance (abiding by the which was required of all would-be states.) In short, I let ‘em have both barrels.

So much work to undo!

There is soooooooo much more to a God-centered education, one that thoroughly integrates the teachings of one’s **specific** religion, than merely being able to talk about religion.
