I guess the sources could be lying, but the point is that McGinniss isn't making it up out of whole cloth. Objectively speaking, there could be something to it.
The relevant question before the house is whether or not it would make any difference in her vote support.
My own view is obviously it shouldn't--unless maybe she might pick up a few points among minority voters.
I'm not going to judge her for the indiscretion or "sin" - I've done MUCH worse in when I was in my 20s. I'm a much different person now as she OBVIOUSLY is.
That said if she was seriously involved with Todd and decided to bang some basketball player while he wasn't looking, that certainly wouldn't elevate her within certain demographics.
There's also the "joke factor." This could become the material of a lot of self-writing jokes. No good can come from that either.

Who is this freakin’ “pal” of Sarah’s, who is operating under the cover of darkness? When Sarah was nominated, all sorts of false stories came out from people who were identified as political “friends”. All of these phonies were nothing of the sort.
