Folks, the celebration might be cut a little short.
NY-09 is target for redistricting... which means Bob Turner might not be Congressman for too long...

Here is the number one reason why Obummer won’t win in 2012 “I wanted to send the President a message...the economy is bad. People are scared”
We NEED a leader that understands that JOBs are what matter most with a +10% unemployment nationwide! We NEED someone who KNOWs that Gov’t DOESN’T CREATE JOBS, PRIVATE SECTOR COMPANIES DO!
NOVEMBER 2012 cannot come SOON ENOUGH!

Don't be surprised if you see Obama appear in New York in the near future wearing a Yamaka.

Yes, the district will vanish in the next redistricting, but the reversal in core Jewish sentiment is quite damning.
To: SeekAndFind
Even if they eliminated it tomorrow, it wouldn’t change the fact that the race was a referendum on Obama.

Every reasonable person knows this was clearly a victory for Democrats.
I don't know how yet, but am expecting an explanation soonest.

Agreement was reached on eliminating two districts, one R upstate and one D in NY-9. Except that now NY-9 is an R. Back to the drawing board.

Its a very difficult district for Democrats, said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman SchultzSure Debbie, that's why it was held by the Dems for over eighty years, and recently by such stalwarts as Geraldine Ferraro and The Schmuck Chuck Schumer.

If Obama has lost elderly Jewish voters who are typically die-hard Dems going back to the FDR Admin, he has truly lost.

By Omitting Anthony Weiner’s name, are you insinuating that he isn’t a stalwart? LOL. :)

Every one already knows this. The main point is that a seat that was last in Republican hands in 1922 has gone to Republicans. A huge defeat for Bozo and his crew.

NY-09 is target for redistricting... which means Bob Turner might not be Congressman for too long...
And that is the final Irony of the battle. Even that is a win for the GOP. New York is going to lose two districts next year. By agreement one was to be Democrat, the other one was to be GOP. Now the plan was for the Democrats to give up Wiener's district, and he would move into the administration. In return the GOP would have to give up one of its safe districts in up state New York.
Now the Dems will have to give up a safe district where they intended to keep the person in office. The GOP will give up District 9, that lets be brutally honest, was going to be hard as heck to hold on to.
Finally in a redistrict you usually roll two adjacent districts together. So if you roll two safe GOP districts together you end up with one larger safe district. But there are no GOP districts around District 9. So it will have to be rolled into an otherwise safe Democrat district, instantly destabilizing it.
So in summary the results of the New York redisticting will be as follows.
* The dems will lose one safe district
* The GOP will lose a district they were unlikely to hold
* An otherwise "Safe" democrat district will get destabilized.
Look I would rather take and hold territory. But if it can't be held, this is as close to a scorched Earth raid as we are going to get.

Big question now is how will Obama Administration vote in the UN for imposing Palestinian statehood? He’s in a conundrum-—if he votes for it he will lose the Jewish vote in 2012. If he votes against it then the far left will go bonkers on him. Get out the popcorn!

Its a very difficult district for DemocratsIf you define difficult as having held the same political seat since 1923 difficult, then you're correct.

I need to send a message to the president that hes not doing a very good job. Our economy is horrible. People are scared. This is devastating to the White House.

It wasn’t a 6 point margin it was 8...”Turner took 54% of the vote to Weprin’s 46%, with 100% of the precincts reporting.”
And Nevada, it wasn’t a “cruise to victory” it was a 21 point massacre.
C’mon Morrissey quit your freakin lowballing understatements.

I’m sure the majority of Dems who voted for Obama in 2008 will vote for him in 2012. But millions of Dems and indys have had their eyes opened. Obama is going to lose a lot of those people. Millions of votes will switch to Republicans. Millions more Dem voters will stay home unwilling to vote for the hated Republicans... which is fine with me. Obama’s only hope is, by some miracle, the economy drastically improves in a years time. Given his propensity to dig the economic pit deeper every time he opens his piehole, that , the economy getting better, is highly unlikely.

Democrats thought they had won Nevada, outraising the Republican 2-1 a district that went 50-50 for McCain and Obama. They lost by 20 points.
