“You WANT to go there.”
What are you, a mind reader? You don’t know me from Adam.
And I suppose a troll is somebody who doesn’t worship at the feet of The Divine Diva of the Sub-arctic?
Have I called you any ugly names?
Give it up, already!
I was a Goldwater Kid in ‘64. I bleed conservative.
You’ve got no argument, no selling points for your “wonder woman,” and worst of all you will have no candidacy either!
All you have is personal attacks which are less than useless. If I ever thought for a minute about supporting Palin, the attitudes of the type you are displaying turned me off, big time.
It’s like Ann Coulter said the other night; “I’m not so much against Palin—it’s her FANS that get me.”
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers but pu-leez DO NOT DELUDE YOURSELF.
For at least the third time today, let me say: several polls I’ve seen put the % of disapproval of Palin among the general electorate at from 57%—64%.
No one running comes close to that. No amount of money or supporter fanaticism can overcome it. She has succeeded in turning America off. Beyond that, she is the only Republican whom Obama beats right now.
Polling as it is done today WORKS. Some are better than others but you get to know which are the good ones. Yesterday, NY polls forecast the Bob Turner election right on the nose.
If it were a family member who was accused of all the things that Palin was AND he/she quit a responsible job for rather shaky reasons, you wouldn’t start to develop serious doubt?
I have a daughter who has gotten herself in serious trouble because of a “party hearty” lifestyle. She swears she has never done drugs (but her drinking is unquestionable) and her thieving, slutty friends have no influence over her. Suuuuure.
A little realism can go a long way. The police eventually proved my suspicions correct.
The signs of irresponsibility aren’t hard to spot.
Those “goonions,” as Rush calls them, succeeded in completely cracking Palin’s facade.
They got on her case a bit (what union goons DON’T do that to “the enemy”) and she cracked under the pressure. The worst side of her shrieking “harpy” persona came to the surface.
Other Tea Party speakers were similarly attacked that day in Madison but they kept their cool.
I’m telling you, Palin’s policy positions are generally very good (possibly excepting Title IX affirmative action for female athletes) but her nature, personality, and character are just not for me.
You like the way she is? That’s your business. I really think most people have made their minds up about her already and she doesn’t have a lot of widespread support.
I’ve heard of a mile wide and an inch deep (Romney) but with Palin, her support is more like an inch wide and a mile deep.
Now you’ve jumped the shark. You’re the first person I’ve heard say that Sarah “cracked” during her excellent Wisconsin speech. What did she say that you didn’t like, or was it her tone?
You obviously have no interest in the truth, since it is readily available right here oh FreeRepublic. There is a bugle call that signals soldiers to retreat, regroup and plan their advance or surrender, you obviously feel she surrendered. Not only that it seems to have affected you personally.
LOL!
It was principally the tone.
The way she screeches when she gets agitated is what started me down the road toward rejecting her as presidential timber.
I have no doubt that the TEXT of the speech was fine; it was her overreaction to some ludicrous razzing from idiotic union hecklers that I found off-putting.
My friend, whether Palin actually cracked or not isn’t the only issue. The perception is sometimes just as important and she was perceived by me-—and by others I’ve talked to-—as shrieking harpy.
I have been falsely accused of child molestation by people of poor character. The charges were investigated by the police and found to be without merit, and for very good reason.
I am the wrong person to try that stupid gambit on, as is anyone who has dealt with false accusations. It really is pathetic if you are judging Palin through the actions of your young daughter. Methinks the problems are with you, not with Palin.
Palin quit her job for good reason, you just don't agree. And now makes far more money than she ever made before. So it's not like she is a drunk failing to hold a job and provide for her family.
All you have is projection and your own bitter emotions. It shows in your posts here. I won't bother responding any more to you, because, like so many other trolls, the reason for your bitterness has come out. You may have the last word, and best wishes in your fight with cancer, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, had two cousins and an uncle taken by it, and badly.
BTW, I am not hoping you are around to see Palin win the White House, because IMO she won't run, she's been too damaged by all the attacks that you seem to think must have some merit by their sheer volume. I just hope you get through your course of treatment and don't have to face that ever again.
>> “Care to put you money where your keyboard is?” <<
.
That is exactly what I, and most Freepers are going to do, contribute to our next president’s campaign.
I haven’t said boo about Palin in months.
I usually feel that it does no good but her “fans” as Ann Coulter calls them (she finds them obnoxious and a deterrant to backing Palin) are becoming really insufferable lately.
Jim also has another rule that is read every time we post “NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.”
Do you see any effort on this thread to control personal attacks? They are getting way out of hand, IMHO.
>> “Do you see any effort on this thread to control personal attacks?” <<

Looks like you’re doing all the attacking here.
Rubbish.
One doctor comment on my hospital chart from an oncologist:
“Mr. Johnson is extremely ill but incredibly cheerful.”
That sums up my personality. The illness has improved dramatically but the good cheer remains.
You know what makes me cheery? Conservatism and the Tea Party. What makes me sad (never “bitter”): having it dragged through the mud by self-serving and attention-hungry politicians.
Ha!
Read the thread again
I only attack politicians, NEVER other FReepers.
I’ve gotten a number of very creastive responses from my post. Keep the good stuff coming.
Don’t forget to write letters to the editor exposing your or some other unnamed person as having an affair with Palin—before she was born.
This is a blatant broad-side attack on the Palins.
I’ll admit it, I didn’t read the whole thing. The Daily Mail doesn’t have the best reputation. The writer is known to have been a real ass, even moving in right next door to the Palins. That’s rather unethical. From what I read, it seemed that there was way too much hearsay, and far too little hard evidence.
What if all this is true? It shows that Palin had youthful indescretions. It shows that she and her husband had marital problems. Some couples do. Who knew?
I believe that for the most part Palin has tried to live her life in a decent manner as an adult. Nobody outside her household truly knows the full dynamics. That’s life.
What we do know since the writer deemed it advisable to make all these charges public, is that he doesn’t mind destroying reputations, making the worst types of charges on hearsay, and making a good run at destroying a marriage involving at least three kids I’m aware of.
I remember one other political figure who screwed around on his spouse constantly for upwards of twenty years that we knew of, was still doing it at the time, and the press couldn’t have cared less.
That does not excause someone on our side doing some of the same things. I’m not even sure that they did. And although they may have, the acts were far less frequent and blatant. We don’t know what the other spouse had done that might have contributed to the decision to have this indescression, if it did take place.
I don’t think people who dislike Palin should try to make hay off this.
I don’t think people who support Palin should be too dismissave and protective of her on this either.
This is not something I would herald at Sarah and Todd’s expense. It’s also something I would find rather somber, and would spend some reflective time digesting, if I were a Palin supporter.
No doubt we will know more in time.
At the moment this doesn’t change my opinion of Palin at all. I haven’t been a big supporter. I would suggest Palin’s supporters shouldn’t make any hasty changes in their attitudes toward her either.
There will be time for that as more information comes out. People are human. I wish the Palins well.
Nikki Haley is rolling her eyes and saying “Not this SH*T again !!!!”
GOONIE GOO GOO !!!!
U r dreaming on all points
She will have to earn it like any other schlub
