The Texas proposal forced public schools to accept the "opt-out."

Private schools did not have to accept it, and, from what I read, most would not have.

So if parents wanted to send their children to private schools, it would be likely that they would be forced to vaccinate their children.

The larger point is that the "opt-out" was not nearly as unintrusive as many have implied.
