What the election in NY9 showed is that orthodox Jews are moving more strongly away from progressive Jews because of Israel and the economy.
Progressive Jews, however, will never abandon Obama. They are the heart and soul of progressivism, from Saul Alinsky down to Ayers' wife Bernadine Dohrn. Progressive Jews are antipathetic to the state of Israel.
Even if Zero's coalition of special interest groups, like big labor unions or greenies or single moms, begins abandoning him, the progressive Jews will be the very last, because they are his ideological soulmates, ensconced in university faculty or mainstream media or government bureaucratic positions.
