However also keep in mind that a lot of the secular/atheist/NYC Jews are communist or communist leaning. THe book Radical Son by David Horowitz is a great eye opening read on this subject, just for starters. His parents were communist - they lived in a Queens and were secular Jews. There were many in that movement or at least sympathizers.
