Ruben Diaz Sr., a Dem. state senator, was making robo-calls for Turner based on Weprin’s vote in favor of gay marriage

WoW! That’s just remarkable.
"Actually, this was a lot closer than people expected. When you have a hotly contested race decided by single digits, there is really nothing that can be drawn from that tight an outcome."
Mark my words.

Turner, Bob GOP 29,064 53%
Weprin, David Dem 25,562 47%
Holy crap! Is that is an untouched photo?
Apparently, I had relatives living in Flatbush back in the mid-19th century.
They came here from Wurttemberg, Germany.
I don't think there was anyone famous though.
“Most of Brooklyn is very safely RAT, moreso than Queens.”
I’m not sure that’s a true truth. I don’t live there and I have not studied the demographics, and frankly, I don’t care as long as the Dem is defeated. I’m shallow and ignorant in that way.
But last I checked (and it was plenty long ago) Queens had gotten rather gentrified, upscale liberal a la Northern California. But you could convince me otherwise with factus minimus.
A very impressive margin for an open seat.
Why I get such a kick out of Twitter:
Quote of the month award...RT @matthewhurtt: I wonder if the Dems want to go back to the pre-1967 borders of #NY09...
Thanks for the new tagline!
I wonder why the returns were so slow to start coming in earlier tonight?
Then, they started coming in very quickly.
I wonder if they saw that the election was not close enough to try to manipulate the numbers?
Somebody once said that, if it’s not close, they can’t cheat. And that is true in elections. If you can get a big enough margin, then you will win with no protests, recounts, or lawsuits. It’s when there’s a narrow margin that shenanigans happen.
In a district which is 3-1 Democrat, clearly many Democrats abandoned their party.
I’m sure the White House will say that this was NOT any sort of referendum on Obama.
409 of 512 Precincts Reporting - 80%
Turner, Bob GOP 29,422 53%
Weprin, David Dem 25,831 47%
“Thank you, Moses”
You’d be surprised how many Hispanics and African Americans, even though yes they do vote Democrat, are against Gay Marriage..here in Cali when we had the gay marriage vote, some of my brothers friends(Who are black) voted in support of traditional marriage..the Dem in NY blew it by saying he was for it
Some brilliant fellow predicted this result
++++++++++++
You are looking pretty good right now but I’m thinking 54% to 46%.
Untouched.

Thanks for that formatted chart above, NautiNurse!
REVENGE OF THE JEWS; DEM SEAT TURNS IN NYC
Love it!
A sales tax in White County Arkansas was blocked. I hope the Weiner Seat goes Republican. Even a RINO would be a vast improvement from such a liberal. We'll have a UN Agenda 21 Land Grab in Lake Maumelle and a statewide Arkansas Highway Bond to kill on Nov 8th.
“After giving the briefest of comments, Weprin headed straight for the door.”
Typical gracious dim. Let’s hope that is a preview of 2012!
I’m hoping he’ll pull near even in Queens by the end and blow all their worst case projections out of the water. The Dems have got to be chugging the valium right now.
